Up until now, Emily has been our lone artist. She has gifted the entire family with her art work. And now Harry, first grade, has joined his older cousin.
Nana has two parrotlets, the world's smallest parrots. I'm not sure they were Harry's inspiration or not, but his "gift" arrived on a day on which I was feeling particularly down. What a blessing these gifts, notes, calls, emails, texts, etc. from the grandchildren are! Even little. not yet two year old Charlie Rose, and four year old, Hank, want to call Nana.
Dear God, thank you for children! Thank you for all children. Sometimes not all of them are lovable. Sometimes they act out due to frustrations or secrets in their hearts which we as adults do not know. Help us to be open to their needs, always. Help us to make our world a better place for all children.
Thank you, God. Amen.
