Sunday: Church and Golf

Sundays have become our church and couple golfing day.

Our minister was back from Haiti and shared a small portion of his experiences while there.

I was bitten by the writing bug early this morning, as I got to thinking about my latest experience with trying to find someone who could cut, color, and manage my hair.  One recent resident here, another former Dallasite  actually flew her hairdresser from here to Dallas to allow her old hairdresser to show the new one how to cut her hair.

I usually don't envy much, but it sure would be nice to do that with someone whom I might find here to train under my former hairdresser's knowing eye.

After church we drove up to the little Memorial Park that borders the church parking lot.  Here is what we saw:

This is the same scene that I took back in the winter, when we couldn't even tell what was around the Amazing Grace plaque because it was covered in ice and snow.

The next thing that I saw was this animal trap with a chipmunk napping on top.

And of course, "Amazing Grace" is the perfect plaque, as far as I am concerned.

Back at home, we switched into golfing apparel, gathered our clubs and gear, and headed out to the executive courses, Coronado.  Our friends were a bit late, as my friend had cut her left hand finger right before coming to meet us for golf.

Another one of those wild storms came out of nowhere, sending most golfers back to the clubhouse and/or home.  We stuck it out.  I was having a very good round, and ended up shooting a 45 on the front nine.

Just to satisfy your question of "what" I shot, let's just say that I am proud to say that my score was an honest 92 on the par 62 course.  Wheezier!

Here is a shot that I took of BC.  We did not let the thunder  nor the lightening run us of.

If you look carefully at the little body on the basket hanger, , you would see that we have a dragon fly who dearly loves the food sources for the birds.

Exhuastion is overtaking me.  May God watch over your dreams and your loved onces htis afternoon.

I am falling sleep "at the wheel!
