Praise God! We people in Texas survive the summer waiting for these cooler days. September didn't disappoint us this year. It's actually been in the 80's some of this week.
My friend and I walked our hour this morning. Oddly enough, it was actually pleasant outside.
My dear friend from college, Jo, and her husband were here from Sunday afternoon until this morning. They called last week from Northwest Arkansas to say that they were en route from KS to their home in Georgia. Knowing what notorious travelers they are, I called them back and invited them to "detour" and drop in for a visit.
We have had a fun week of visiting the Dallas Arboretum, the 6th Floor Book Depository, the site from which JFK was shot, downtown McKinney, various restaurants, etc.
Jo is a "master" knitter, so I pulled out my own little sticks and began knitting dish clothes again... I had forgotten how much fun that knitting those can be.
I just delivered Meals on Wheels last week, so was shocked to discover that it was the first week of the month, and I am "on" today. It's a fun realization, as I enjoy delivering so much to my delightful friends.
I have a sneaky suspicion that I didn't do anything spectacular on the weight loss this week. I joined Weight Watchers on-line, but with company here, I was enjoying way too much food eating out and desserts at night.
Blessings on your day,
Sandy
