I couldn't resist taking a picture of Skye on this bedspread. She blended right in. Like any normal child, she wasn't in the mood for pictures and was being silly when I shot this pose of her. She turned her head upside down, as she use to do so frequently.
Our New Year is off to a great start. We had a great night's sleep last night and awoke very rested.
We enjoyed the Rose Bowl Parade, even more than usual this year. I almost wished I'd gotten up earlier, so that I could have seen it all.
The Arkansas game would have been better if Arkansas had won, but it was a great game to watch, and we both enjoyed it.
Our lunch of navy beans and ham was delicious. Charles made homemade cornbread, so we had that to make a perfect meal.
I ventured out to Target to get yet more "organizing" containers. The garage is the next object of my effections. LOL!!! I'm not sure when I'm going to tackle it. There are some large items. What should I do with them? There is a cardtable and 4 chairs that we inheirted from Charles' family, a huge dog kennel, my bike, Charles' bike, a high chair that I need to return to the owner, etc. Oh, yes... Such clutter exists everywhere in our lives.
We did manage a walk during a halftime. That's another small goal realized "just for today." That is going to be my philosophy as I attempt to do better this year with my exercise and weight loss. "Just for this day, today." I guess it is the one day at a time philosophy, but I think that it may just work for me.
