Playing Catch-up

Sunday was one of those almost too perfect to be true days.

Church was wonderful.  The choir was excellent, the sermon great, and the Sunday School class, meeting for the first time, netted 19 interested people!

We came home for a quick tuna sandwich, then headed to the golf course.  I was so fired up from seeing the professional ladies play that I just "knew" that I could do better.  And I did!  For the first 9 holes, I was dynamite.  I shot my first birdie and 3 pars!  I was rocking!  And then BS met the Back Nine.  Life changed quickly.  While I only shot 45 on the front 9, the back 9 ate my lunch.  I'm not even going to put the score because it is so humiliating.

Today BC headed off to the church tournament.  His team did not play as well as could be expected.  I'm sure that it is because they did not follow my suggested dress code for the team: blue shirts and khaki shorts.  Even my own husband digressed and wore knickers!

I went to yoga this morning.  During the "relaxation" part of the practice, I almost feel asleep.

I forgot to take the magnets off of the back of my car when I drove through the car wash, and I lost my breast cancer magnet.  Rats!  I did find my "Support Our Troops" one with the help of a gentleman in line behind me.

Tomorrow is exercise at church, which is more of strength building.  I went once last week and really enjoyed it.

BC will be playing with the MGA group tomorrow, while I take a quick run into Hot Springs to pick up a few groceries that we are needing from Krogers.

Later on we will meet up at the lawyer's to have our will redone to comply with Arkansas law and to just get an update.

Next is the Arkansas Picnic here in The Village.  I'm looking forward to meeting others who are living here who are from my home state. It's a catered affair at the Balboa Pavilion.  It should be fun, and the weather is perfect.

Wednesday is the make-up day for the Duffer's Member/Guest from last week (rained out).

After that, we'll come home, get cleaned up, and head to church for our picture for the church directory.

And last of all, we'll head into Hot Springs for dinner and to check me in for the sleep study that the doctor ordered.  It should be interesting, if nothing else.

Now, here are a couple of shots that I took of our backyard last Friday.  We still have work to do, but we are so proud of it.  And it is such a pleasant space.
