It's been a whirlwind of a week. I can't even remember half of what went on. I do remember that I helped my sweet hubby pick out a really nice pair of new glasses, a new car, and did a lot of running around here and there. That would include a trips to Little Rock, Benton, and Hot Springs in one week!
I made it to the gym twice for yoga and walking. On Friday I even managed to do some "interval" training by adding a bit of jogging to my fast walking.
All of this has netted me the loss of a few ounces (I accept those ounces gone!) and an improved attitude about myself.
I've managed to pass up some good looking pastry that Hubby brought back from the Farmer's Market and cookies at church this morning. I'm still working on cutting back on my wine in the evening.
And maybe the best part of my week is that due to my doctor's visit, I am off of one blood pressure drug (5 days and counting), feeling great, and have skinny ankles again. LOL!!!
I have been saddened by prayer requests that I've received, especially two about very young children. One of those involved the death of an infant and the other involved the removal of a four-year old's eye due to cancer. I truly believe that the hardest thing in our world is for a parent to lose a child, regardless of the age.
It's late, and tomorrow is starting early as Hubby is participating in a golf tournament. I have elected to "tag" along and enjoy the scenery.
