I awoke to a ringing phone. When I aroused myself from my sleep and looked out, it was obviously "day!" Yep, dear Hubby let me sleep until 10:30 am. Now before you go patting him on the back and thinking how wonderful he is, let me warn you that there is a reason for his thoughtfulness.
I cooked us a nice breakfast of fresh eggs from the Farmer's Market and made toast in the toaster oven. Quite good, if I do say so myself.
Then we went to the little grocery store and purchased the items that I need to make for tomorrow's going away pot-luck for one of our ministers and the chicken I will prepare on Monday for our friends who are arriving.
We purchased one of the new foot long sandwiches at Subway (chicken with all sorts of nice things in it, low-fat mayonnaise, etc.) and brought it home to eat here.
Next we ran by to pick up the port-a-crib and toys we are borrowing from another Nana who lives in the Village.
And why was Hubby so kind to Nana and let her sleep? He wanted her to go golfing in the afternoon with him, because his morning game got cancelled.
Fortunately for the Hubby Dude, Nana was still feeling kindly about 1) missing him all week 2) being thoughtful because of our anniversary on Thursday 3) because I'm just joyful that he is back home. I was easily talked into 18 holes of golf at the Executive Course (longest hole a par 4). Oh my, 104 shots later, I was doubting my wisdom. But, alas, I look like "the good wife," albeit a bit on the wilted side. LOL!!!
I did take pictures, but due to exhaustion from playing golf in the searing heat (first nine holes), I have no desire to download pictures.
Tomorrow is church day. We can go and get renewed for the week ahead. I love Sundays! I love church! But most of all, I am grateful to and love our Lord!!!
