It's Sunday and life goes on...
The topic of the second week of Advent is Joy. I am going to try to be joyful and give joy. It's so much easier at home than at work. Am I two people?
I am spending too much time on Facebook and not enough time doing "other" things. Why is Facebook so easy?
The weekend with our family was beyond wonderful, as it almost anytime spent with family. I think that my moments of true joy usually revolve around our family. I praise God for that love and connection!
The soldier in Cecil's group that is on life support is still struggling. He is only 26. My heart is heavy with sorrow for his inability to overcome this dreadful malady that has racked his body. I found myself finally surrendering to God Saturday. It is in His hands, as always.
My latest struggle: Am I cut out to be a Stephen Minister? Questions and answers lie within prayer.
Where has this year gone? And why do the years speed by quicker each year? One would think that the time, commitments, and activities would slow down with age, not increase....
I am going to end with joys and my gratefulness items:
1. For God and this great country, I am joyful.
2. For a loving husband and wonderful children, I am joyful.
3. For a wonderful daugher-in-law and 2 son-in-laws, I am joyful.
4. For 4 incredibly precious grandchildren, I am joyful.
5. For our employment, income, and home, I am joyful.
6. For our health, plentiful food, and clean water, I am joyful.
7. For a car that is reliable, I am ever so joyful!
8. For people who are honest, loving, caring, and giving, I am joyful.
9. For our friends, I am joyful.
10. For this day and my relationships, I am joyful!
