I don't know if I'll ever be the same. Life seems to pretty much be one Superhero after the other around here. LOL!!!
It has truly been a wonderful day!
Little Hank was the first one up. He actually slept in until 7:15 am! I felt so relaxed and rested to get those extra few minutes of sleep this morning.
Downstairs, Hank and I started the coffee and bacon, in that order, too! We made scrambled eggs and got the first meal of the day out of the way in a short time.
My next order of business was to strip both boys' beds and change sheets. When I got through making the beds with the clean linens, I just wanted to stand in the middle of the room and enjoy the freshness and order.
Harry went with Dad to mow Aunt Tita's yard. Hank and I cleaned the bathroom floor in our bathroom, started laundry, and tided the kitchen. Daddy had already dusted, so the house was in nice shape.
Uncle Chuckster and Aunt Kathy rolled in around 12 for an afternoon visit. After a lunch of deli sandwiches, we all sat out on the deck and enjoyed the perfect Colorado day with the Rocky Mountains looming in the background.
Harry went with me to shop for groceries. Today was the day that he got a toy for being a help to me the last two days. Once at the store, he changed his mind on me and spent a good 15-20 more minutes looking for a different toy. I am now up close and personal with so many superheros that life will not be the same when I return home. LOL!!!
We discussed it and decided that it was only fair to get Hankie a toy, too, so I selected the superhero that Harry had originally intended to get for himself. It was the perfect choice! Hankie loved it.
After dinner, the boys took baths, I cleaned the kitchen, and mopped the kitchen floor, which I've found to be a daily chore.
I am no longer bone tired. Praise God! The tears were less today. Are we adjusting? These little guys miss their mommy so much. Harry was just overjoyed this morning when he asked me how many days until she returned, and I said, "Four."
I made a menu for the remainder of my time here. I may never want to cook again when I return home. LOL!!! Poor dear Hubby!
Blessings on your day,
Sandy
