Friday Arrives!
I really have to hand it to all of the moms in the world who have to get breakfast for their children, dress the kids, themselves, and get out the door to work, lessons, or appointments. After a week of rushing around (camp started at 9 am), I can honestly say that I'm glad to see the weekend.
This morning Harry didn't want to go to camp. He asked to stay home, which I took as a compliment, but also thought of the money that Mom had paid for him to go. And to be honest, the respite of just having one child has been nice, too.
Hank and I loaded in the car after camp drop-off and headed to find the Sprint store. After two calls to the location (and with my map from the Internet), I decided to go ahead and go to the Barnes and Noble first with hopes of seeing if anyone there knew of the cross street where the store was located.
Hank and I were in luck! We attended our 3rd story hour this week. And we bought him an adult book on trains because they didn't have one non-fiction children's book on trains, nor did they have any child's fiction book with photographs instead of drawings. Guess I can see another gap in the literature field for children.
Yesterday we went to a branch of the library that has Great Danes come to the story hour each week. Hank was delighted with the dogs until the 150 lb. one, the smaller of the two, wanted to sit his rear in my lap. Hankie didn't like sharing Nana's lap. LOL!!!
It will be hard for me to leave these little boys. They have totally worn me out, but they have been so delightful. The things that they say are priceless. And how wonderful to be loved so unconditionally. It is tiring at times to hear my name (remember, it's Nana) so many times in 10 minutes, but it is also the greatest compliment that I could receive!
It was absolutely amazing tonight to see Picky Eater eat pizza! And he ate 3 slices!!!! Of course, it was excellent pizza.
I am excited because our son and his wife are coming tomorrow. It will be fun to see them twice in one week!
I'm thinking that I need to come up with menus for at least the next five days. A grocery list will follow that. Then there is the trip to the grocery store. Life is not dull around here. And "that" is a fact!
Blessings on your day,
Sandy
