Day 6: Feeling Lonely
There is little adult interaction. I am starting to feel a bit lonely and forgotten by the outside world. And most of all, I am wondering where all of my "friends" are. I've not had one call from one person since I've been here, except for family. I am not sending out the blog anymore. If anyone cares to read it, then I know that they will find it. Does it really take that much effort to let another person know that you care about them or are thinking about them?
We did get up and out of the house by 8:15 this morning. Our little "camper" was rearing to go to find out more about Furry Creatures. He had his swim trunks, a towel, and sunscreen with him.
I dropped the younger boy off at playtime and set about doing some much needed exercising. Then I read the newspaper and picked up my young friend from child care.
Back home, we completed laundry, cleaned out the leftovers from the refrigerator, and had lunch. The little guy was tired and had a nice nap.
It was a busy day, full of full of boys, bubbles, and one huge tantrum by our little one, who wants to wear his swimsuit all the time. I was sure that CPS would turn up on the doorstep and want an interview with me. There is a tiny possibility that this little man will one day be on the big screen. He is both good-looking and convincing. LOL!!!
Dinner tonight was the mini-meatloaves from my Weight Watchers Board. I made a double recipe, then fed the little guys spiral ham.
Off to the sack early tonight.
Oh Sandy, Don't be lonely. I'm out hear enjoying your blog entries. They are especially meaningful as we have my daughter, her husband, and the three children (9, 6, and 3) with us for seven weeks. They live in China but came back to visit family and friends for the summer. Although dad is working in his US office every day, we and their mom keep very busy. It's been fun and sometimes exhausting. Fortunately we do have aduts around to talk to. But...you are so fortunate to be able to be there and make such a wonderful connection with the little ones. And they are fortunate to have you. So...hang in there. Keep the blogs coming and we'll keep on reading!
