Blue for the much needed rain that finally came this afternoon as Hank was snoozing in his room... Out the door and to the Y by 9 am with our camper this morning. Then Hank and I went in search of a branch library, using a map that I had printed off of the Internet. I was so impressed with how still Hankie sat on my lap on the floor as the librarian read stories. When the story time was over, we sat on a sofa in the children's area and read books for at least another 3o minutes. He kept bringing more to me, not wanting to leave. We ventured to McDonalds, where I purchased a Happy Meal for Hank and a wrap-up for me. The Diet Coke was the real pull, of course. Hank met another little guy about his age and proceeded to wear himself out playing for the next 45 minutes or so. Back home, he went straight to sleep and had a great nap. While Hank napped, I mopped both the kitchen and foyer floors. Cleaning out the refrigerator drawers was my next step, as it was clean when I arrived. I seem to be messy, especially with onions... I tried my hand at Scalloped Potatoes out of a recipe book that Amy had here. Yummy! I used the whipping cream that I found in the refrigerator. No wonder those were so good. The little boys ate chicken tenders for dinner and then had a splashing good time in the bath. We played "cars" on the newly mopped foyer floor, then settled in to read until Daddy came home around 7:15 pm. It was a quiet day, refreshing due to the rain, I think. Of course, I've been picking up various books on Spirituality around the house and reading as I watch the boys bath, eat, etc. God is here. I can feel Him. Blessings on your day, Sandy
