Father's Day
What a great Father's Day!
We started off by attending early church at First United Methodist in downtown. It is a historical church with lovely stained glass windows, an organ, and music out of the hymnals! Although I wasn't reared in the Methodist church, I must admit that I enjoy the traditional songs that the choir (yes, a choir at 8:30am!) sang. The minister is new and a great speaker. His sermon was inspiring; the people very friendly. I'm thinking that we will return there. I haven't been this excited about church in a long time.
I love our children and their families so much, but it was so awesome to get back home to our shower, our kitchen, our bed! God is good!
Our son is improved today. In his own words he admitted that he "turned the corner" this afternoon. That would be 10 full days that it took him to start feeling somewhat normal, actually hungry, and even ready for his first outing since his surgery (doctor's appointment an exception). Praise God!
We talked to all three children today and the two son-in-laws to wish them a happy Father's Day.
Hubby and I played 18 holes of golf. I have no idea what the temperature nor the heat index were. It is probably better that way. LOL!!!
What a blessed day! It was a gift to me, this Father's Day miracle of children, a great sermon, and a fun round of golf.
Blessings on you,
Sandy
