I flew to Colorado last weekend with the purpose of assisting in the care of our son, who just had four nasty surgeries at once.
I arrived the same day as our daughter and son-in-law's furniture, some of which had been in storage for two years while they were living out of state.
With two little boys involved, unpacking multiple boxes was quite an ordeal. I gave the couple "free" hours of unpacking by taking the boys to a local park, then McDonalds. We had a great time.
On Sunday, after two days, I travelled to our son's home.
The weather has not cooperated with getting outside much as the wind has been quite evident, and the temperatures have dropped into the upper 30's in the evenings.
For the second year in a row, my precious husband and I have celebrated our wedding anniversary in separate states. Hopefully next year we can be together for number 42.
Dear husband sent me flowers, which is an almost no-no in our family, as I am not a biggie on fresh flowers. Still, it was an awesome gesture for him and makes me miss him even more.
I have watched more television and seen more DVD's in the past four days that I have in the previous five years. I am ready for home! LOL!!!
The new baby is being patient, waiting for Nana to arrive back in Texas before making her arrival. We are so excited!
Nothing new with my thoughts as I have not seen a real newspaper since Sunday, little news on the television, and have had little other connection with the outside world. I would not make a good hermit.
In all of this, I miss my bible, hope that God is seeing the "works" of my hands as prayer, and continue to think about our church and our Sunday School class.
Where in the world is Sandy? Does she even know...
Blessings on your day, if you by chance have happened upon this.
Sandy
Well I hope you have a safe trip back! I'm sorry you had to spend your anniversary apart (again!). I think sending you flowers was SO sweet! And I'm so excited your name is Nana. That's what I want to be someday... ;)
