What do you think? Is autumn here? Yes! Autumn finally arrived in North Texas, although one can not yet tell by our very warm temperatures. Hubby is still playing golf in his shorts!
I practiced "Thanksgiving" this past weekend by cooking a smaller turkey that was in our freezer. Fortunately I was able to share all of the white meat with my dear friend Beverly. We are big fans of dark meat at our house.
Some of the trees are turning. Many of our trees here are Live Oaks, which stay green all year. They also shed so many acorns that you can go out at night and here the constant falling as they pelt the ground.
I am getting so excited as the time approaches for our children and grandchildren to arrive to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday. This year there will be 11 in our family. I have it on good account that we may be expecting 12 at the table next year. God is good!

  1. I think autumn is coming!! How do I know? Because the leaves are turning the same shade of brown as that turkey (which is beautiful, by the way!) Thanks for the side-by-side photos-- I'd never noticed that before, LOL.

We're spending Thanksgiving week in the woods in OK, and I'm packing my woolies, just in case... I often think of you when I wear my long underwear, can you IMAGINE why??? Think WAY back... ;)
