I lived in Arkansas for over 34 years and just now made it to Hot Springs Village! Who would have believed a place with 9 almost perfect golf courses with an equal number of lakes. Houses are nestled deep in woods and on lakes and mountainsides. I may be "in love" with the terrain, although I do think that I was constantly suffering motion sickness while I was there. I forgot how "hilly" hills could be. LOL!!! The afternoon spent on the Diamante Golf Course was a thrill of a lifetime. The scenery was beautiful, the day perfect, and the deer we saw, an unexpected pleasure. We enjoyed a tour of the Village, a delicious dinner at one of the golf clubs, and another on a marina setting on one of the lakes. We only had time to hike one lovely trial, but took pictures of the plant that we "think" may be ragweed.
Life doesn't get much better than life in the country, away from it all, with good food, and a comfortable bed. Of course being with someone you love is a cherry on top of the float.
Blessings on your week,
Sandy
