This lovely beauty wintered outside and came back this spring to give us a huge surprise! We were both amazed, as we did not realize that it is perennial.
Only two days since my last post. And of course, life has been "happening" as it has a way of doing. LOL!!!
Yesterday morning I went in to see my general physician who now thinks that the coughing is acid reflux caused by the medicine that I take for osteoporosis. Ah, yet another ball in the chain of events... The bigger thing that he surprised me with is his total dismay at my blood pressure reading. And since he said that he is running out of drugs to try with me, he told me to take the one that made me so sick two weeks ago and to have an "open mind." So yesterday, whenever someone asked me how I was, I thought to myself, "Well, I'm trying to have an 'open mind'." That pretty well sums it up. ;-)
Dear Hubby called me as I was going in to my doctor appointment to tell me that he was sandwiched in between two cars in a three car accident on his way to work. His new company car now has the look of a well loved accordion. Hubby went to the emergency room to get checked out and is fine. Or he was... More later on that.
The young man (teen) who plowed into him from behind was an illegal alien without a driver's license or insurance, driving a car that was not his. He sent Hubby into a Ford 150 and pretty well took care of the man's bumper for him.
The good news is that there was no personal injury to anyone, and only one person was arrested. Oh, me...
We were in Dallas at 7:10 am this morning for Hubby to have some eye surgery that was a bit more involved than he had led me to believe. The surgery was on the eye that had cataract surgery last year. I didn't start to understand everything the doctor said, but know that Charles won't be driving for a few days, so he won't miss or need his car. However, since the doc gave him that sleeping medicine that makes people do strange things and not know it, I'm hiding my car keys tonight. LOL!!!
My duty as nurse is "on." I am thankful for the tray I purchased several months ago. It is going to come in handy as I care for my patient, who has been known not to be an easy patient. LOL!!!
It's so nice to have a quiet afternoon at home. Well, it was quiet before Skye decided that she wasn't getting enough attention. LOL!!! Love that little birdie!
wow, it sounds like you have had a busy few days! I'm sorry for the news about the x-rays, but please know I'll be praying.

Oh, my! I popped in to get caught up and the last few posts of yours are action-packed for use. Wow! You are Charles are in my prayers. Y'all are so dear to us. {{{hug}}} I do love all of your flower pictures. :)
ReplyDeleteJ.K.A.: Do you know about the Parrotlet Plus Board, a discussion for owners of parrotlets? We would love to have you!
ReplyDeleteCyndi: It's just life. We are acutally so blessed. I know that it is the prayers that gets us through it all. Thanks for keeping us in yours.
I actually am a member already Sandy, I'm just more of a 'lurker'. I do read the board everyday though, it's my favorite thing to do with my morning tea :)
