Here we are just earlier this month while on our cruise. Ah, how wonderful it is to be home to America! I love this great country that so many of us are blessed to call home!
Just this week I was looking for jarred mushrooms. All four brands that I picked up were Made in China. Don't we have mushrooms in the USA? Why is it becoming harder and harder for people to find items Made in America? My guess is that it is the same reason that we have so many people in our country looking for jobs. We are heavily outsourcing to China and other countries.
I am proud of the Fords that my husband, myself, and our two daughters' families drive. They are the only America made car that didn't accept money from the Feds. Go Ford!!!
Now on to a lighter note... I returned home today to find our backyard a beehive of activity with birds! I can't even start to imagine the varieties that I spotted, but there was at least one red-headed woodpecker, two bluebirds, something with yellow on it, titmouse, wrens, sparrows, and more that I didn't recognize. Time for the bird books to come out again for me to get serious on "naming the birds."
My sweet hubby was complaining this morning that he hasn't had any time to "relax" since retiring. That just cracks me up. I rest my case. Retirement is not what one anticipates. Retirement is being even more busy than one was before, but doing all of the fun things plus some regular items that are just there on the "to do" list.
For those of you with grandchildren, may I suggest digging out a copy of the book, Fall is not easy? It's a fun book that the little ones will think is hilarious. The text is magical, but the illustrations are even better. I LOVE that book.
I made the Cheeseburger Soup for dinner last night. It's posted in the notes on my Facebook page, if you are interested. Was it ever good! Dear Hubby was still complimenting me on it this morning...
Well, my hair is cut, my toes are pedicured (if that is a word), and dinner is planned: Leftovers! So, that leaves plenty of time for me to take an afternoon walk on a gorgeous day that the Lord has made.
Blessings on you and yours,
Sandy
