Sometimes I amaze even myself.  One of my newest goals is to try to get to appointments, church, and other places on time.  This morning, although I really had myself in gear, I almost managed to miss the mark.

Emily and I had our first treat of "Summertime, Nana Style" together.  She got adorable patriotic toes, while I selected the calmer, Fourth of July Red.  LOL!

Then we returned home and replaced the linens on the guest bed so that Em could move into that room.

With the Marsons' departure this morning, the house got noticeably quieter.  Little boys are not known for their silence.

Em and I then took our list and went to Wally World to get a few groceries before stopping by the Farmer's Market for our weekly order of delicious organic bread, eggs, and veggies.

Back home we urged Granddad to take us to Danny's for the Catfish Dinner.  We enjoyed a pleasant and fairly peaceful dinner out on the patio.  The temperature was just perfect with ever so slight a breeze blowing.

Since we were right at the golf course, the two of them hit golf balls while I read my latest Bible Study.

Afterwards we took Em to the top of the mountain to show her the lot that we didn't purchase.
This is just the view, not the lot.  LOL!  When we explained to our son that the lot at the top of the mountain was several thousand dollars more than the wooded lot we selected, he seemed to easily understand.  Although there is a story about another house that our builder is currently building on this mountaintop from where I took this picture.
Back home and to the waterfall/pond to check on the koi.  They appear to be thriving!
