This latest addition to our backyard is BC's early birthday present, compliments of my precious friend, Gary, who recently ventured to Canton. BC calls it his "chicken." I had to inform him that it is a rooster. My suggestion was to give "him" a name, and it wouldn't matter that "he" is a rooster. LOL!!!

The other picture is of one of our basil plant with two almost identical butterflies perched on the leaves.

We are enjoying homemade pesto from our own backyard, "organic" if you will. LOL!!!

When I went inside Target with my list of two items yesterday, the sun was shining brightly. Less that 20 minutes later, it was pouring rain, thundering, and lightening. I was literally trapped inside for an hour. I had cracked my car window (the skies had been clean 20 minutes before it started). When I returned to my car, a new notebook in the front seat was saturated down to the very bottom page. My floor mat was so wet that I took it out to dry overnight. This rain is absolutely amazing.
