Snack Time!

What do you do on a rainy day in North Texas? Share popcorn with a friend! In this case, the sweet birdies even shared with Mommy!!!!
While Bogey is easy going and prefers to be left alone, Skye is aggressive and will attack him if I don't watch her closely. This was their first popcorn snack together and really doubled the mess. LOL!!!
School is out for the 2006-2007 year. I find it a bit bittersweet. It has been a time of closures and a time of beginnings. I guess my job is to focus on the beginnings and be happy for co-workers who are moving on to new places in their lives.
I enjoyed yoga today. Well, okay, maybe I didn't enjoy it, but I realize the value that it is playing in my life.
Weight Watchers was successful today with me finally showing a loss. It was .5 lb, which I will gladly take. It has taken me three weeks to show any progress. I am hoping that I can find time to walk between the rain showers, thunder, and lightning that we are experiencing. And if it ever dries up, I'll try my 3-wheel bicycle.
So many of my friends are in difficult places right now. I hurt for those who have severe medical problems requiring serious surgeries and other procedures. I guess as the body ages, it is prone to have more illnesses.
I am thankful that I have prayer in my life and of course, God, and hope. I wonder what people who do not have God do when the tough times arrive on the doorstep. And I pray that when those tough times come knocking at my door that I will remember God and my faith first. While I may talk of God and feel that I am strong in prayer, I never let myself be deceived that I am basically a weak person.
I remember my latest verse that I have memorized:
Psalm 121 "I lift up mine eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? It comes from the Lord who made Heaven and Earth."
And while I've memorized the entire psalm, those four lines are the ones that sum it up.

  1. Hi Sandy,

I was reading your post about Bogey on the parrotlet board. I hope everything is okay..I'm heading out for a week with my hubby and Gus, but I'll keep your little guy in my prayers.

My hubby laughs when I tell him that if God can look after sparrows, surely he has a soft spot for parrotlets too. :)
